Homemade Noodles Recipe from the Better Homes and Gardens New Cookbook
(1968 version)
Combine: 1 beaten egg,
1/2 teaspoon salt,
2 Tablespoons milk
Add: 1 CUP sifted all purpose flour or enough to make a stiff
dough.
Roll dough very thin on floured surface, let stand 2 minutes
Roll up loosely and slice 1/4 inch wide. Unroll; spread out and let dry
for 2 hours.
Drop into boiling soup or boiling, salted water and cook uncovered about
10 minutes.
Makes 3 cups cooked noodles.
I use this recipe to make Turkey and dumplings (noodles). I usually
double the recipe. I mix the dough and go ahead and roll it out. I cut
it into the noodles and go ahead and drop them into the Boiling salted
broth. They make a soft dumpling when cooking them this way.

I substituted whatever brand of Gluten Free Flour was on hand and had
good success.

This looks really good - I bake all the time but I had no idea it was this easy to make noodles. I’ll let you know how it turns out!

Nice to meet you!
