Voodoo Gloved from www.knitty.com that I was knitting for myself have become Jesse’s armor gloves. He had to pose for photos with Pikachu. He also loves the thumb hole.

I knitted too tightly, as usual, but that’s OK because this was really a test project and he loves this yarn… I didn’t like it on me. I think I want to do a cabled wrist-warmer for me. I think I’ll try the two circular needle/knitting two rounds things at once method that’s in the Knitting Two Socks on Circular Needles book to make mine.

Monster body
Monster body

I think I’ve got the hang of knitting in the round down now. I got the monster body done. Now, I’ve just got to knit up the appendages and horns for the head.

One issue I had is that my cat thinks the size 6 bamboo dpns are yummy. I tried using just 4 needles instead of 5, but that didn’t work. The chewed-up ends were pulling the yarn, so I had to switch to my shorter ones. They worked better.

Fuzzy Wuzzy completed in 4 hours!

My fastest “big” project yet… Materials to poncho in 4 hours! Baron Munchausen and Rocky Balboa took the honors as the evening’s entertainment.

Treesa is on hold because I’m out of yarn and Amy just isn’t happy with me, so I decided to pull something out of one of my new knitting books. The first thing I found was the “Lacy Poncho” from Speed Knitting book I just got in the mail. It was quite speedy!

Hopefully, Bailey will like it. It’s rather fuzzy, but I like the contrast between the blue, purple and yellow eyelash yarn and the gray homespun.

I’m bamboo

What kind of knitting needles are you?

You are bamboo.Warm, cozy, and thoughtful, you take your time and enjoy how things feel, smell, and taste. You love the craft and beauty of traditional things, and you value the comfort and experience of knitting as much as the results. But while you are reveling in your warm cozies, don’t get stuck. Warm is wonderful, but so is the whole wide world!
