My first pair of socks

I said I wouldn’t knit any socks. I knew that I would totally suffer from second sock syndrome, so I never even considered knitting socks. Then I learned magic loop while knitting
my son’s armor
. Suddenly socks didn’t seem so bad.

These are the tutorial socks from “2-at-time Socks” by Melissa Morgan-Oakes.

My first pair of socks

I don’t know when I’ll make a pair of real socks that would someone in my family. Jesse wants me to knit armor for his friend, so that will my next magic loop project.

Overall, this was a good project. There’s a lot of new stuff, including doing Kitchener stitch for the first time.

EDITED: Here’s an in-progress photo

EDITED: Added photos with the sock monster. How cool is it that the designer of the socks commented on my post! SQUEE!
